ONE the egg WAS an EGG!

There was actually something to retrieve today...a "perfect, mature" egg per the white.wizard!  I cried on the spot when I woke up enough to understand his ego had succeeded in getting the job done.

Thank you all so very much for the hopeful comments you've left me--I know we're all in different places along this crap rollercoaster, and I just appreciate you having the energy to leave me an upbeat comment regardless of where you are in your waits and calendars and protocols!

As I post this, ONE the egg is probably wrapping up an ICSI rendezvous with The Sperm Drafted For Greatness (as Mr.ebc told his swimmers during their pep talk) to become ONE the embryo. (And if you read that crazy sentence and immediately thought, wow, those two need therapy...well, you're probably right...ha!) This is the first time since the first time that we've gotten this far in the ivf process.

Tomorrow we get a fertilized report (as in, nay or yay). I am a little hopeful and a lot petrified.
