:) is a night owl

So just as I was getting used to yesterday (thinking I'd be pushed to next month to start the protocol), along came today. Well, it was technically today, but I'm counting it as yesterday. Because it was 1am when the :) finally flashed on the screen! Well, hello :), I've been waiting for you...glad you finally decided to show!

Quick call to nurse half-brain (HB) and I've got my suppression med dates. The Gan.irelix is only done every three days during suppression (at a higher dose than the daily will be during stims). I don't know if I've come across anyone else doing this, so I'm going to try to just let go and go with the plan they've come up. However, I did have to question nurse HB's answer on one thing today (thus...the term HB)--the protocol calls for starting the meds 8 days after ovulation. She counted 8 days after the :)...that's close to the same thing but would put me off a day or two. So, I questioned her. She put me on hold to ask the doc. Came back and said I should start the meds 8+1 days after the :), like it was her idea all along. Whatever. At least we got it figured out without too much hassle. I know that I am already missing my fabulous np from the former clinic (though they had other staff that drove me crazy....like doc HB). From my southern roots, we'd now be inserting the common phrase, "Bless her heart (read: poor little idiot)...or BHH for the blog world.

So, for now, I just live and wait for time to pass to Feb 1.

  4. Ugh. The worst is waiting to ovulate so you can then wait some more before starting your suppresson. Glad :) finally decided to show...it gets pretty panicky towards the end!
